Royal Canberra Show 2007

Last Saturday, we went to the Royal Canberra Show.
This year, Tim enjoyed the animals much more than last year as he was able to identify the animals and even got to touch the goats.
He also got to enjoy the amusement atmosphere, unlike last year, where he just sat in his pram, looking around...

These are alpacas...they look very cute aren't they?
Terence thought they looked like 'Ewoks' from Starwars....Do u think so?

These are sheep & goats. 1 of the goat was taking a bath...and he just went meh meh meh....

This was quite a highlight of the show - Racing & Diving Pigs.
In 3 of the pictures, the pig called Miss Piggy, did a dive from the platform into the pool of water below.
In the bottom left picture, 4 pigs were let out of the gate and they just started running...

The top left picture shows kids(& adults) riding on the camels. It was quite a sight as we have never seen live camels before.
The other 3 pictures were some farm animals...For the 1st time, I saw yellow ducklings just like those that I read in the books. Those ducklings that we see at the pond behind our apartment were usually dark coloured. And of course, I have never seen such a big sow and the piglets were just having a hell of a time nibbling and sucking at her nipples...( wonder if she ever gets sore nipples? but i'm sure she'll never get engorgement, looking at how ravenous the piglets were...)
