Day Trip to Bungendore

It's the mid-semester break again...time flies man...can't imagine i just went thru 7 weeks of school already...seemed like it just started not too long ago....
Well, since it's break time, it's also update blog time...:P

On the 1st Sunday of August, we went on a day trip on a train to Bungendore. (The trains only operate on Sundays). The steam train that we took was going on one of the last few trips so we jumped at the chance to take it before they change it to the diesel train...

Bungendore is a small historical town about 30 minutes drive from Canberra but the train ride took us about 1.5 hours...the main purpose of this trip is to let Timmy experience being in a steam train since he's so crazy about Thomas the Steam Engine...
He was really excited as he kept wanting to open the window and let the wind blow at his face...

This is how the steam engine looked like. This steam engine and the carriages are more than 100 years old.
We were in the carriages behind, just like Annie & Clarabel....

Apparently, they started to burn the coal at 5 am in the morning and we were there to start our journey at 1045am.

Here's us in the carriages....In the carriage we were in, there were about 6 cabins...Every cabin can sit 4 persons. We were lucky to have 1 cabin to ourselves...
