Finally found u...

My hopes were not dashed afterall... Remember in one of the previous post, i said that the SD card of my camera was spoilt...well, it was the card reader that was faulty and not the SD card...Phew!
Luckily we brought it back and Tert's bro, Kelvyn, managed to retrieve our precious photos for us...and here you are...

He just got Thomas painted on his face when we went to the mall...he loved it to bits...

so proud of it that he didn't want to wash his face that night.

What happened?

It's been a long long time since the last post...

There are alot of things that I had wanted to update and lots of pictures to show since September but... the SD card from my camera could not be read....and all the photos are stuck in there! (Anyone knows how to recover the pictures?)

I shall update in words -

Joan & Joen are 4.5 months old now - time flies... there were lots of pictures about them...from 3 mths to 4 mths...from serious looks to smiles and laughs...

September 25 was my birthday and Terence & I finally had a night out on our own. We went to watch a movie finally...we had not watched a movie since 2004! It was also the 2nd time we took a family photo together...

Next Feb, we will be relocating to Melbourne so in the beginning of October, we took a recee trip there. Coincidentally, on the day of arrival at Melbourne, it was Singapore Day. We went and enjoyed some Singapore food and jostled with the SIngaporean crowd. We met up with Chai Hong and family and the kids had a fun time rolling down the grassy slope...

Last Friday was Timmy's last day in his childcare centre. We held a mini farewell party for him and his friends. They had cakes and lollies and had some fun time eating together.

I can't remember if there were more...will update if there is..
I really hope that Terence will be able to recover the photos from the card...

Timmy's 3rd Birthday

HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY TIMMY!

Sunday, 25th of May 2008, was Timmy's 3rd birthday. How time flies! Terence & I can't believe we've been parents for 3 years already....and coincidentally, 2 more bubs will be on the way very soon. We are not sure if all of them will have their birthdays in May but it will be nice if they are...:)

We celebrated with Timmy by having steamboat on Saturday evening and he got his presents from us that night. On Sunday, he celebrated with his Sunday School friends and we had a Pizza Party that night.

Here's our present to him...

Grandma's (Tert's mum) present was given to Timmy before she went back to Singapore.

He's wearing the present, Thomas clothes and holding the Thomas card.

Grandma (Jan's mum) gave him a Thomas water bottle and a Thomas plate.

This present is from Papa & Mummy.

It's a Thomas Roundhouse. It's used to keep all his trains...

Timmy's update

It's really amazing to see how fast Timmy has learnt to speak... He didn't start speaking till 32 months old and within 3 months, he is speaking in full sentences and asking questions in full too. Thanks to God for answering my prayers....
However, the questions he asked can sometimes drive you up the wall...here's an example:

I was reading a book to him and before we got on to the 2nd page, we were stuck on the 1st page with his questions....

Mum:: ".... and the sea is singing."

Timmy: " Why is the sea singing?"

Mum: " it's a beautiful day."

Timmy: " Why is it a beautiful day?"

Mum: " cuz' the sun is shining brightly in the sky"

Timmy: "Why is the sun shining brightly in the sky?"

Mum: " There's no clouds blocking the sun."

Timmy:" Why is there no clouds blocking the sun?"

Mum: " The wind blew all the clouds away."

Timmy:" Why did the wind blow the clouds away?"

Mum: "?????"

So this is an example of him going on and on with his questions...sometimes I wonder if he really knows what he is asking or is he just repeating after what I have said. But then again, he does mimic the way we speak and the way we ask questions so it is very important for us to speak in proper sentences...

One funny thing is, he doesn't understand Chinese...so whenever Terence & I speak in Chinese, he will ask us if we were talking about him...and sometimes it is really about him....

Updates on Timmy

It's been a long time since I updated our blog...I'm sorry for those who visited and left disappointed...Today I shall have 2 updates and hope you will enjoy...

Firstly, about Timmy...he is about 34 months now = 2 & 3/4 years old. He is going to turn 3 in May. Time flies and he's going to be a brother soon...:)

He started to talk when he was 32 months and now he is beginning to speak in sentences. For eg. when he wants me to read a book, he will tell me "this book is nice." and when he looks for his dad, he will ask " Where is Papa?".

Oh, he is a book monster and loves to have us read to him. He can go through up to 20 books a day, not in one go though. For eg. 7-8 in the morning, 7-8 in the afternoon and 3-4 before bedtime. He will go 'more books' after every book that we have finished reading....and alot of times, he will cry when we have to stop...
We are very thankful that the libraries here allows us to borrow up to 30 books each time for 3 weeks so we do not have to buy alot of books for him. Every trip to the library will see us hauling back 2 big bagfuls of books.

He has also mastered 75% of toilet training. He can wee and poo in the toilet now and does not need a diaper in the day. He only needs 1 piece for the night. We are so happy to save on his diapers now...

He had a friend who was having his last day at childcare and they had face painting. He was painted as a Tiger. However, it's faded abit cuz' the paint go smudged when he took his nap.

We went to see the Annual Floriade and the flowers were really beautiful and their colours were really radiant. This is one of the beautiful sights of Canberra that cannot be missed.

On the top right, Timmy was trying to push a wheelbarrow of flowers with Uncle Sunny.
